What will we being doing on the trip?
Typically we will spend our time doing light construction work on the development of a mission church during the day and building relationships through worship and teaching/discipleship ministry at the local church in the evenings.
Where will we stay?
We usually stay in a local hotel in Old Havana with air-conditioned rooms, private bath, security and meals prepared by local Cuban cooks.
How will we get around the city?
Usually by bus or van driven by local drivers.
What else will we do?
While we are in Cuba we will take part in some tourist activities, like a day trip tour via coco-taxi of Havana to see the beauty of this great island nation, we will go to the historic cannon ceremony overlooking the harbor, and we will also do some sight-seeing in and around the capital.
What is a typical day's schedule like?
We usually work on ministry projects in the morning through early afternoon and are involved in church events most evenings and on the weekend.
What is the approximate cost?
The cost for the Cuba trip is usually around $2500/person (depending on the time of year) which includes round trip airfare to Havana, housing, meals, local transportation, ministry projects/materials, day trip activities, departure taxes, fees, insurance on you and your baggage, and a trip facilitator/translator to accompany the group for the week. The cost does not include souvenirs and one noon meal while in Havana.
